Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data we process when you visit almanops.com or contact us, on which legal basis, and what rights you have. It is written to satisfy the GDPR as well as the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

2. Data processed when you visit this website

This website is a static site served from our own container infrastructure. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, embeds no third-party advertising, and loads all fonts, styles, scripts and graphics from our own server.

When a page is requested, our web server writes a technical log entry containing:

• the IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• the requested URL and HTTP status code
• the referring URL, where transmitted by your browser
• browser type, version and operating system (user agent)

This data is required to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website. Log entries are deleted or anonymised after 30 days at the latest, unless a specific security incident requires longer retention.

3. Contact form and e-mail

If you use the contact form, the details you enter — company, contact person, e-mail address, phone number, environment type and your message — are used solely to process your enquiry. Where the form opens your own e-mail client, the message is sent through your e-mail provider under their terms.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract or its initiation, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for all other enquiries. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and thereafter in line with statutory retention obligations.

4. Recipients and international transfers

We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to third parties for advertising purposes. Data is disclosed only where necessary to operate the website (for example our hosting provider, acting as a processor under contract) or where we are legally required to do so. Our servers are operated in Germany; correspondence may be processed at our office in the United Arab Emirates.

5. Social media profiles

Our LinkedIn and Instagram profiles are linked from this site by plain hyperlink only. No social media plugins, pixels or tracking scripts run on this website, and no data is transmitted to those platforms until you actively follow such a link. Once you do, the privacy policy of the respective platform applies.
